I've used Mailwasher for years, recommend it to everyone etc. and this is the FIRST time that I've ever had cause to complain.
We get a complete freeze for no apparent reason, in every session. Then when we try and reload Mailwasher we get the previous version which wasn't overwritten (but which at least works perfectly). I have a brand-new laptop with Windows 7 and Outlook 2003.
Is there a fix or do we request our money back?
Thanks
Sally

Re: Grumble grumble
Can you describe this freeze in a little more detail...
Also go Help >> Send Support Logs >> enter chris as the Ticket Number >> Send Logs...
As for the older MailWasher opening when you reload, do you mean reboot the computer or just when you click the desktop icon.....if it's the latter, then this is just a case of it being the wrong icon.

Mailwasher is unmoveable, will do nothing, requires TaskManager to close the application. I haven't yet ascertained what initiates the freeze.
The previous version of Mailwasher wasn't removed and the old icon still appears and I don;t know where to find the new version. Anyway, do I really want to remove the old version till the new version is behaving?
Will try the Hekp-Support log thing thing tomorrow, thank you.
Cheers

You should be able to locate the new version in your Program Files directory under Firetrust, Mailwasher
Re: Grumble grumble
When you installed the new version did you let it choose the default location or did you install it in the same directory where the old version resided?jaffacake wrote:>Can you describe this freeze in a little more detail...

I let it choose its own spot.
It's not listed under Firetrust, Mailwasher, which is why I can't find it.
Thanks

Download and install 1.0.19 http://firetrust.com/sites/firetrust.co ... 082010.exe
The freeze I think is being caused by an issue in the sorting logic which was corrected in this version. Let us know though if the problems persist.
