In my new install of Win 11 Pro, I have sounds and notifications turned off. Yet, every email that comes gets a popup and chime (or bell) from the Notification area. My email program is text-based Sylpheed without any sound features. Any chance it could be related to MWP? I don't see any sounds associated with it in settings, but it's worth asking. It's not happening with my Win 11 Pro laptop, so I'm not sure what to make of it.
I'm still hoping to hear about how to turn the Delete into a box and remove the text.
Sounds with MWP?

Re: Sounds with MWP?
Yes, check to see if the errors tab shows in MWPro, (beside the Settings tab IF there) as you may be getting a mail check error for one of the accounts?
Notifications are all under Settings>>General>>Notifications....
Re the Delete box, just drag the column smaller so it only shows the delete icon.

Re: Sounds with MWP?
The sound problem was at heart due to a bad install of Win 11 (or two to be accurate). A Windows 11 Forum guru helped me to try to figure out why there were so many problems, and the result was realizing that my BIOS was set up for RAID (under a different name) instead of AHCI. That corrected, a clean install went smoothly, with a detour to create a local-admin account instead of a MS admin account, which allowed getting rid of OneDrive's intrusiveness more easily. And with it we eliminated the unwanted sounds and notifications.
