Bring Mail Client to Foreground
When the configured email client is running with MW on the foreground and click on MW button to activate it, nothing happens. It should bring the email client to the foreground.

Re: Bring Mail Client to Foreground
Works for me, guess we need to know your e-mail program and if you picked it off the list of available ones in MW's settings or used the "Browse" option to select it.
I am not a Firetrust employee just a MW user.

There is a setting to minimize MWP after the Wash cycle finishes deleting the Spam at Settings, General, Washing Mail as well as telling MWP to call the client.
Re: Bring Mail Client to Foreground
Are you using the Wash Mail button to activate the mail client or the Mail Program Button?TestingMW wrote:When the configured email client is running with MW on the foreground and click on MW button to activate it, nothing happens. It should bring the email client to the foreground.

Re: Bring Mail Client to Foreground
Using The Bat!
Not loading The Bat automatically after wash, i do it manually.
When the bat is loaded, goto mw, click on the bat icon on mw (set in settings>>washing mail>>select the bat - no checkboxes checked here), get the little windows wheel cursor, and that's it, mw still in foreground, the bat remains behind other windows.
It all works fine if the bat isn't loaded before clicking it's icon on mw.
BTW, win7 x64

Re: Bring Mail Client to Foreground
I'm not familiar with TheBat but it sounds like there may be an option missing from the program call to TheBat. Check and see if there are any command line switches for TheBat that would alter the behavior.

Re: Bring Mail Client to Foreground
I don't use it either, couldn't find much on command line options in Google. This might be a place for the Autoit program and a script to do the window management.

Re: Bring Mail Client to Foreground
Ok, figured it.
Edited GeneralSettings.xml and for some reason the <ShellPath></ShellPath> tags contained a /recycle parameter for thebat commandline. Erased the /recycle parameter and it's fixed.
This was set by MW when i selected the bat as email program., don't know why.
Thanks for answering.

Make sure that you don't get multiple instance of TheBat when you press the button in MWP.
Re: Bring Mail Client to Foreground
That switch, when used with Outlook, prevents MWP from opening a new instance of the program (if one is already open) each time you have MWP call the program.TestingMW wrote:Ok, figured it.

Re: Bring Mail Client to Foreground
Nope, no multiple instances, running just fine no matter how i do it. That switch is definitely not for "The Bat!"

Re: Bring Mail Client to Foreground
MailWasher takes that from the Registry....I just installed The Bat! and the path it added into the Registry to use is
"C:\Program Files\The Bat!\thebat.exe" /recycle
