I am a sucker for new software versions, and have used MailWasher for almost its entire existence, so I immediately paid, downloaded and installed MailWasher Pro: 2010. Silly me! I have both 6.5.x and MailWasher Pro: 2010 running on a XP Pro SP3 computer with 2GB of memory.
When I click exit MW Pro 2010 I get:
[*]MailWasherProApp.exe - Application Error
The instruction at "0x7c91b21a" referenced memory at "0x00000010". The memory could not be "written".
Click on OK to terminate the program
Click on CANCEL to debug the program
I click on OK and get:
[*]The instruction at "0x004808b6" referenced memory at 0x00000004". The memory could not be "read".
Click on OK to terminate the program
I click OK and get:
[*]The instruction at '0x7c91b21a" referenced memory at 0x00000010". The memory could not be "written".
Click on OK to terminate the program
I click on OK and the program finally closes! WHAT'S WRONG?!

ADDITIONALLY: 1.WHY CAN'T YOU CLICK AND OPEN A MESSAGE WITHOUT CLOSING PREVIEW?
2. WHEN YOU RESTORE A MESSAGE, WHY DOESN'T THE STATUS INDICATE IT IS A RESTORED MESSAGE?

I'd remove the first install, save your data files, download a fresh copy and do a new install from that to see if it fixed the crashing problem, might want to dial back any of the AV/scanner type stuff you have running for the install too. If that doesn't work rename your data directory and do an uninstall, delete data and reinstall and see if that works.

1. Are you using the preview pane or the preview window? The pane option is happy with you clicking a different message

2. The status shows what you want it to, if you want it to show that the message was restored go to the filter Suggestions topic here and put in the filter shown to do that for you.

Everyone apologizes for being rude or offensive - why? When you have to put up with 'forum gadflies' taking haphazard guesses at issues without regard for the fact that individuals have spent limited funds and exorbitant amounts of time trying to get buggy software to work as described in the promo pieces.

Yes, I installed, reinstalled, turned off, etc., etc., but still get the same error as documented previously!

I know you have been 'buzzing' around this site for years so you should know how 'old MW Pro' works. Even with the preview pane open you can click on a message and have it open in 'old' MW Pro - not so with MW Pro: 2010 - get it!

Why do I have to go through convolved gyrations to get 'status' to indicate 'Restored MWP' with MW Pro: 2010 when it was done with 'old' MW Pro automatically?
