Same bug in Version 1.0.27
I see the problem about selecting an e-mail and then selecting 'Plain Text', still does not display the text - For that you (still) have to select 'Source', scroll down to the bottom of the text, then select 'Text' to display the text.

I guess this is because the number of lines initially downloaded does not contain any displayable stuff, when you scroll to the bottom this issues a fetch all (IIRC, 999 lines max) so that is then displays the text. This will happen for example with HTML emails.

You have full control of how many lines of each message are downloaded Settings, General, Checking Mail, Spam Throttle. The more lines you download per message determines how long it will take to complete the action. It appears that if you get a fair amount of attachments that 200 lines will detect most of them.
The maximum is limited to 999 lines.
MWP has no control over how the sender structures it's message.

You should get more of the message shown if you scroll to the bottom of the text tab and not have to switch to the source tab to get that. I just checked on my system and with a Yahoo Groups message that shows no content in the Plain Text tab with 200 lines fetched I can scroll down in that tab and fetch the remainder of the message.
If you'd give it another try on one of these messages, try scrolling (mouse wheel or cursor key since there will be no scroll bar) in the Plain Text tab and confirm it isn't working for you.
If it isn't working for you then it may have been fixed in the latest beta or might be a problem I'm not seeing on my XP system.
