I use GMail via IMAP and just use the setup on the Google help pages.

You need to look for two possible settings in your email program. First one is Send/Receive on start-up and Check Mail every (n) minutes. Turn them both off.

Are you using webmail (http://mail.google.com/mail/) or do you use a E-mail client like Outlook, Thunderbird ao?

Please note:
- All mail, including spam, ALWAYS goes to your Gmail first.
- Normally you'd then either read it through webmail and/or download all via a client and delete the rubbish manually.
- What MailWasher does, is check your Gmailbox and delete any unwanted mail automaticly, so you will not have to do that yourself.
- Knowing this, you should make sure that MailWasher has "washed" out your Gmailbox before you either look at your mail through webmail or download it with a client..... Isse síímpel! ;)
