Mail Washing slow

I have noticed that "washing" doesn't always work and the "friends" & "blacklist" are not expanding as more emails are cleared.

At the moment it will look like the email is still there if you go and refresh the account you're in, that's because it has to go to the server, tell it to delete it, then confirm back that it did delete it. When we have a Recycle bin, we'll add it to the recycle bin instantly, delete it from the server, and if it fails for any reason, then it will go back to the inbox view. So, until we add the recycle bin in there, you might occasionally see 'deleted' emails until they're actually removed.

I didn't quite understand about the friends and blacklist not expanding as more emails are cleared, can you elaborate?
