Hi,
installed new desktop version and checked "include account for syncing"
I also installed the latest version of the iPad version.
Clicked " sync to mobile" and received "syncing login" screen.
What username is it looking for? Tried the account login but that did not work.
Is it the mobile login? if so, I don't recall providing it. How would I retrieve it?

Have you created an account in the iPad app? This is the username and password you use in the Desktop client for syncing.

I must have created an account because I see a logout function. But I don' t know what it is. How can I retrieve it?

I read a post by Nick that I could create another account on the iPad by just putting a 1 in front of the email address when creating an account. It worked. I was then able to try a sync from the laptop. It took the login and password but failed with "error connecting to cloud server"'.
Found post saying delete cloud.dat file and try again. I closed mwpro and deleted the file. Started mwpro again but got the same msg.
What is my next step to resolve this?

I'm a bit perplexed by this one, but it may be that you have duplicate accounts setup somehow. If you can let me know the email address you used (feel free to send me an email at [email protected]) and we'll delete the accounts so you can start again.

I added an account again mw on the mobile after you deleted the accounts. I am how seeing my email again on the mw mobile.
I went to mw desktop and clicked on sync mobile. I was expecting to see it prompt me for the new user & password but it did not. I them got error message - can't connect to server. How can I get the user/password prompt to use the new user/password.

In MailWasher Pro 2012, go to Help>>User Files. Shut down MailWasher
(File>>Exit). Then in the User Files open window, delete the cloud.dat file.
Restart MailWasher.
In Settings>>Accounts, press the 'Sync to mobile' button.

thanks, it now does not give the error when I sync, now ever when I look at the lists on mw mobile, I don't see the items from the desktop. Is there some time delay?

It's only meant to sync the account settings, not the actual emails. There is a delay at the moment in checking the emails in the background.
Also, you need to select which email accounts are to be sync'd.
Go to Settings>>Accounts. For each account, check the box
'Include this account when syncing' for those accounts you want to sync to
the mobile version.
Click the 'Sync to mobile' button. This will prompt you to create an account
or sync your already created account.

I have done all the steps you have described.
I was expecting to see the entries in the friends & blacklist lists on mw desktop to be in the spam list on the mw mobile.
But I do not see them, only the ones I added via the mw mobile?
