Mobile versus desktop – do they clash?

Wed Dec 12, 2012 11:18 pm

When I leave the office, I often leave MailWasher doings it regular checks. Does this have any impact on what MW Mobile will detect?

In other words, will Mobile still retrieve a new notification even if desktop has found it?

On the same tack, I would really like to have a new "Right click" option in MW desktop. Along with Restore, Check Mail and Exit, it would be good to have "Suspect checking", or something similar, to pause the scheduled checks.

Hi Michael

It won't have any effect on either mobile or desktop since they're both checking what's on the server, although if you delete an email on one of them, it's going to be removed from the server, and hence the other.

There's not really any benefit to suspending checking the mail as it won't do anything until you press the wash button

OK. I mentioned it because I often go into portable, see a bunch of email there in the "all accounts" page, only to see it disappear when I attack an individual account.

Maybe I need to do some experiments.

I still think a "suspend checking" choice would be useful.
