Cannot mark particular items for deletion

I'm using MW0.9 on a Kindle Fire. I am unable to mark for deletion some, but not all, emails that have been flagged as spam (colored pink by default). I cannot put a check mark by the email and thus cannot wash it. I cannot determine any commonality between the items that I cannot mark for deletion (except that they are spam).

This may be related to a problem that I reported where a message shown as pink did not have the check mark for deletion. When an item like that is opened and you click Friend the message turns green but the Delete check mark automatically appears. My guess is that the original message in the list might have been marked for deletion but the Check Mark wasn't visible.

Just did another test of this problem. I had a spam message come in and it was shown as pink but the Delete check mark did not show and you could not set it. I then did a Wash and the message was deleted so even though it is not showing it will delete. The only way to do a work around is to open the message mark it as Friend which will then disclose the Delete check mark and uncheck the mark. Confusing.

Have you updated to the latest release? The problem was resolved.
