Fri Feb 01, 2013 10:43 am

I have downloaded file using the link given: http://cdn.firetrust.com/apps/mailwashe ... OS-0.9.ipa

within the Zip File I get a directory, Payload with various sub directories but NO .ipa file

What have I done wrong?

It's not actually a zip file, but something on your computer is associating it with a zip file. It is an archive though, but all you need to do it drag the .ipa file to iTunes and it will work.

Thanks for that - WinZip caused the problem - I reset the file to .IPA then made it recognised by ITunes instead of WinZip.
I then found that by clicking on the downloaded file it was sent to ITunes.
It all works well so far.....

System is a definite improvement and works extremely well deleting unwanted emails from the system.

I see so this is the reason why it didn't work for me. Changing the file type now. ;)

Sorry for not completely understanding this. What exactly is the file/app that's causing this?

Appearently, on your computer, .ipa files are associated with Winzip.
Here's how to change associations ("un- associate") in Winzip: http://kb.winzip.com/help/winzip/help_association.htm

You can thank Microsoft, Internet Explorer does that. All you have to do is complete the download and then edit the file name extension from .zip to .ipa.
