The beta test email did mention there could be issues with gmail accounts, and sure enough, having them. Followed the instructions, verified credentials were correct, but nada. It initially came in with incoming set as imap.gmail.com, but I changed it to pop.gmail.com after clicking on the POP3 button, as imap is disabled on the account. Message stated "your email provider has indicated your email settings are not correct (usually an incorrect password)...". At one point it did refuse the connection, so I tried the link indicated to allow device access, and it did say it was enabled in the browser. Still won't connect, tho.
[later] Tried it one more time. This time I left the incoming as imap.gmail.com, but still clicked on pop3, and now it connected. As noted, it's configured as pop, and that's what I use on my device email programs, why would this work here?
Probably shouldn't argue with success

but I'd like to know.
