I would think that 30 Days of ALL Sent and Received would be one huge load on your servers.

We only take the most recent 100, so it's not really an issue. Still thinking about what we can do

This is something we'll look at improving.
Thx.

Other point about the position duly noted but do you want really have it remember the position because you might miss out noticing there are new messages
Don't think that'd be a great difference: as it is now, you only see the new mssge alert of the first few (two in my case) accounts while the rest remains "below sea level". If the position'd be remembered, the only difference would be that you'd see the alert for the same amount of other accounts..

Recent command - (...).
Having read the discussion, I support SW's suggestion: I for one do not want to pull down all Gmail mssges of the last 30 days.. I use Gmail as makeshift mailserver for my domain. All mssges directed to ...@ky***.nl .... first go to Gmail, where they're filtered and "automagically" distributed (forwarded) to various "real" receipients. So what comes into my Gmail over 30 days, really is a huge chunk of mail..

If you cannot find a workable alternative to Recent then can you at least Filter the incoming stream to eliminate the Sent messages.

I'll ask the developer about doing that. So many people use Gmail in their own way

Understood, but I doubt seriously that anyone needs to put their Sent messages that already left through MWM.

My install went fine on both my Droid2 phone and Google Nexus 7 tablet. Glad to see that this version reacts to tablet & phone orientation. Would like to see a trash file like the desktop version.

Suggestion.
Possible solution to the issues with Recent.
I think that part of the problem with the GMail MWM users is that do to the server refresh cycle at FT there can be a time gap when the user does their MWM look see and opens their email client.
Also part of the problem might be coming with users who have their email clients set for automatic download in which case MWM would not see the messages already downloaded when the Recent command is not used. Since they have already been downloaded into the device then MWM is not likely to provide any protection. Users using the Apple EMail App can be instructed to turn off the automatic mail check/download. I have not been able to find a corresponding setting in the GMail app but anyone using this app can see all of their messages just by looking into the All Mail folder.

(1) Provide user selectable option in MWM to use either with or without Recent for GMail accounts.

Yes, after some discussions I think this is what we'll do. If it's a Gmail account, we'll show an option to use the Recent command.

Just had a strange event. When I went to MWM the first time this morning one of my Accounts had gone MIA. Did a Sync from DT and all is back to normal. :scratch :scratch :scratch

Second weird occurrence. On the Accounts selection window the "All" selection is missing. It was that way this morning when the one account went MIA but I didn't notice it right away. Tried a Logout/Logon but no change. Deleted App and reinstalled and now it's back.

We did make some changes to the live system yesterday afternoon which is undesirable but was necessary at the time, so that is something which could have affected anyone using the system at the time. I've had one other user say he's missing an account too. We also added some housekeeping so that any invlid accounts are cleaned up/removed if their passwords no longer work etc.
