Gmail has a guard up on their side that requires you to sign in on the web in a short period of time and acknowledge that your attempt was actually from you. They should have sent you an email indicating the attempt was made.
They did.. and finally I succeeded, but the crashing was of another order.

I think the culprit was, MailWasherMobile app reacting differently to the hardware "back"- button than other apps do. Normally hitting the "back- button" once, just hides the onscreen keyboard. That's often necessary, as on my tiny Galaxy Mini, that keyboard more than often hides one or more fields to be entered. Scrolling is hardly possible because of lack of space, until I hide the keyboard. As you might imagine, seeing what field I'm entering comes in very handy when filling out a (any) form...

. Hitting the back- button in MWM, unexpectedly makes the app immeadeately go back a full screen or even terminate instead.

This would normally, in other apps, take hitting "back" twice.
I'm afraid that's what happened when first creating a MWM account:

The "crash" (or was it an unexpected termination?) made my first login- name inaccessible after I'd just finished entering the first of my E-mail accounts and hit "back", thinking that'd hide the keyboard.

This forced me to create a new MWM login with a slightly different login- name.
The new login accepted all E-mail accounts, with the exception of the one I'd already entered for the first- and inaccessible- log- in, as that account is already being used, according to MWM...

Hmm... programmer been reading any Franz Kafka novels lately by any chance???
