MWM v1.1 observations

Install was uneventful. The blacklist in MWP v7.1.1 still shows mutiple duplicate entries of a single URL. I cleared it and resynched from and it was still cleared.
The "No Email" note in 1.1 was a good idea. I noted the "Help", but haven't read it yet.
The "No Email" message doesn't clear until I do a scan.

Installed OK
Help file: big improvement!

Might have been discussed before: There's a delay: mssges appear in MWM, over a minute after they've been seen in MWP!

Wish: It would come in handy, if MWM was to remember the position, the list was in before syncing one specific account.. In the present situation, when syncing accounts manually one by one, returning to the accounts-list brings you to the top of the list. This means, having to scroll down each time, in order to reach the last (3+) accounts.

GMail problem with Recent loading all messages rather than just the Inbox remains.

Still need a Sync (Check Mail) function on page with Accounts listing e.g. where the number of messages is displayed.
Unreliable Sent Time Stamp still in use. Needs to be changed to Received.

It appears that I need to do two sync attempts (pull down on Inbox list) on same account to get updated content on IOS IPad. The first just returns the same content that was there prior to the first attempt, the second then returns the updated content.

@cfheinz - I think we'll have that sorted out pretty soon
@racker - The answer is due to timing. Because MailWasher Mobile is a server side app, then it's only checking every 15 minutes, except:
a). When you setup an account, or login, it will check for new email.
b). When you're using the app and wanting to check email, it will check every 3 minutes.
This is something we'll look at improving.
Other point about the position duly noted but do you want really have it remember the position because you might miss out noticing there are new messages
@Sidewinder -
Recent command - We've discussed this at length and really the only solution is to implement IMAP
Since it's a background check, the only way it checks for new messages is if you start the app, press the account selector or pull down on the mail grid. It will only show you what's there on our servers at that time.
Noted about 'Received vs Sent'
I've replicated your sync attempts as well, so we're looking at it.

That is curious because I have MWP set up as POP and do not have the problem.
MWM did not have this problem until you turned on the Recent command e,g, around two versions ago.
Also the GMail (IOS) app does not have this problem. If you open it up the only way that I see the same thing as MWM is if I select All Mail. If you select the InBox it does not do it. Are you sure you are only pointing to the InBox rather than All Mail?

Yes, it's only due to the recent command, but then other users were not getting their most recent emails in MWM if they'd viewed them elsewhere. Do you use the recent command in MW Pro?
I suspect the gmail app uses IMAP.

Ok thanks. The recent command is entered before your username eg. recent:
[email protected]

Is the problem with the other users that their GMail Account is set up as IMAP and not POP? If so then is the only thing you need to do is use Recent for them and not for POP users? You should even be able to tell from their Account settings on your server.
POP works fine on MWP and Outlook 2010 was working in initial versions of MWM and works fine in GMail App.

Sorry I cleared that out but not in use on mine.

I question that the multiple device users want to pull 30 Days of all GMail down. I'm guessing that part of the problem is that they are using other device email clients that is contributing to the problem particularly if they have them set to automatically retrieve the messages which is preventing them from coming in to MWM. I suggest removing the Recent command as a default for GMail accounts and if the individual user wants all 30 day of mail then they can add the command into their MWM Account settings manually.

I'm not sure which is going to be the bigger problem really. Only some users have the issue of it showing all emails from the last 30 days, but most don't. It's really inconsistent and no one seems to know why. On the other hand, we'll have lots of users who won't know anything about using the 'recent' command, so they'll complain that they're not seeing the latest emails in MWM.

Understood but you realize that you are not just pulling the Incoming mails. Recent pulls everything including the Sent mails which is not good. I still think that it highly probable that the users have there email client settings on their portables set to automatic which is the default.
