My email account was gone this moring. The synch with MWP brought it back. However the problem with the Blacklist synch persists. My Blacklist on the iPad appears to be correct, however the Blacklist in MWP is a single email address repeated many times. I've cleared this manually in the past.

I only use one ISP.

FT did something with the server the other day and I lost one of my accounts in the IPAD. Response from Nick in the 1.1 Topic.

@ cfheinz - Which email provider was this disappearing email address with? Do you have any other email addresses with this email provider? At the moment if we have a problem contacting the host because of incorrect username, password or the host is sending back errors, we'll try for an hour then delete the email account. This is because many hosts will flag it as abuse if we keep trying to login with when there's a problem. It's a bit rough at the moment, but we'll refine it so we just stop checking the account, then display an error to the user.

It was the Charter account which is the only one I use. When I initially tried to re-establish the account in MSM, it was bombing due, I assume, to a password problem. So, I fired up the desktop and synched from MWP and was back up on the iPad.

The Charter account has disappeared from MWM again. Will try a synch.

Now I'm getting a "Failed to connect to server" in MWP, but I've successfully connected using MWM after manually re-entering the account.

Ok, we've turned this off for now (deleting the email account) if the email account has trouble connecting. Instead we'll just stop checking the account until you manually refresh.

Thanks. Am I the only one reporting this problem? When I checked MWP a couple of minutes after my report, it was OK.

I've had 1 other user say their gmail account disappeared - gmail had an outage yesterday. Sidewinder had a gmail account disappear a week ago

Aaahrgh...It's only when I read this post that I realized what may have caused my E-mail problems... I've got a catch-all mailbox on my domain, that I've set uo to forward all to Gmail, which functions as my makeshift mail-server. Filters in Gmail distribute my domain's mail over various "real" mailboxes. Doesn't cost a penny and works great... if Gmail is doing whatever it should do .. Yesterday my setup suddenly stopped working for no obvious reason; had a helluva time to try and figure out why! My hosting provider told me, several of their clients had the same problem w/o an obvious cause. Only after they reset a server, all was well again..

Deducting this all, I'm now convinced, my host's server must have detected the Gmail outage, and stopped forwarding subsequently. I'll stop breaking my brain over this for now, but will keep this in mind, next time I have an outage on my domain...

Note: Having said this: being (only too) familiar with Murphy 's law, I do realize I may be "jumping to the wrong conclusions"

I've had individual email accounts disappear several times over the past few weeks with MWM on my iPad .

It's finally got really annoying this morning - all my accounts disappered simultaneously and it was asking me for a user ID and password so I've come here to see if its impacting others......

Hmm, they shouldn't be disappearing anymore. Can you send me the email addresses which disappeared to [email protected] and we'll check it out.
