Thanks Nick — MW 1.2b installed wicked quickly and opened up instantly into my primary account without my having to reenter my ID and password again. Cool!

So far so good. Any plans to allow the app to turn on the notification LED when new mail arrives? Also be nice to be able to set a notification sound. I have a specific one I use for mail. The app uses the default notification.

I agree those 2 things would be great to have in there, so we'll add them to the list.

I agree, too. At present, when I get a notification alert sound, I cannot tell if it indicates an incoming text message (which might need my immediate response) or an incoming e-mail (which I may want to ignore 'til later), or some other alert. Kinda like having specific ring tones for specific contacts verses having the default incoming ring tone for every incoming phone call.

At present we cannot turn off the notification sound independently from the MW notification icon displaying when new e-mails arrive because of the way the Android OS dictates application notification alerts. Wouldn't allowing users to change the MW notification sound independently from the default notification sound necessitate making the whole MW app notification module independent of the OS default?

It's definitely worth looking in to to see how we can do this, Android notifications are not very well done, so anything which improves them for MW to stop any annoyances will be a plus. We'll see what options we have in regards to this.
