In MWP go to Settings, Accounts, Incoming Tab, Advanced pulldown arrow. There are two tick boxes there. Repeat for each account.cfheinz wrote:There's a substantial amount of time between using MWM and MWP. Sorry, but I don't know what is meant by pipe lining.

Found the "Top Pipelining" box, but what is the relationship to MWM and the account dropping problem? Since the box isn't checked, I assume I'm using pipelining instead of RETR.

Re: Account expired
Sidewinder was suggesting that the pipelining option could be interfering with the POP collecting of emails as it keeps the connection open. Maybe there's some sort of collision sometimes.

RETR calls for the full message to be brought down regardless of size whereas TOP only pull the (n) lines of each message per your setting.
In addition to Nick's explanation I thought it may be possible the MWP is causing your account to error out and then when the FT code attempts to do their Check Mail it detects the problem with the account and then drops it from their server and then when you try to access the FT server with MWM it detects that the account is gone and removes it from your device.

Re: Account expired
I'm having trouble following this because the accoount isn't dropping in MWP, just MWM.

MWP only connects to FT servers.
The FT servers connect with your providers email server(s).
My thought is that the FT connection fails and then drops the account. Then when you try using MWM it's been downed/removed at the FT servers.

Sounds like something to be resolved at the FT level. At any rate, I've maintained the MWM connection for the last couple of days. Keeping fingers crossed.

Re: Account expired
The reason that I suggested turning off the Pipelining option in MWP is that it is not be handled well by some of the email providers and they may be the culprit in the problem. Re: Account expired
The Charter account has disappeared again. I'm unable to recreate it because I'm getting the unknown at ISP error. I've double checked my entries and they are correct. I've not yet attempted a synch with MSP since it's only a bit after 5:00am and I've not yet turned on the desktop.
