MWM 2.0

Fri Dec 12, 2014 6:52 am

If we already have 2.0.4 beta installed, should we replace it is the new app store release?

It won't matter as it's the same version, we kind of stuffed up a bit by not making the version 2.0.0.5 or 2.0.1 so you'd get an upgrade notification. We'll do it next time.

No, I don't think so. I think they're there but your browser on Android, because it's old, is not showing them. But you tried on an iPad right?

I don't think Android is a component since I don't have an Android device.. The browser on the desktop is Internet Explorer V8 since the OS is Windows XP Pro SP3+. The OS on the iPad Air is iOS8.1.2. It uses the version of Safari built into iOS. I suspect I don't understand how synch works since Internet Explorer isn't active when I'm doing the synch from the current beta version of MWP. I was under the impression that the synch is between MWP and MWM. Both of these are current, and both are using the same wifi network.

Right, somehow I thought you had an Android device as well, and it won't have anything to do with your browser on the desktop, I was just trying to get you to try it in Google Chrome as that will display that properly where as IE 8 won't.

Anyway, I tried your blacklist and friendslist files when you sent them to me and they sync'd for me, so we're still in the dark as to why they won't sync for you.

I've tried Chrome a couple of times and ended up uninstalling it. The first time, I kept getting a Blue Screen of Death. I suspect it isn't fully compatible with XP Pro. As they say, "It's a mystery". At any rate, synch would be a handy function if I could get it to work, but I can survive without it. Thanks for all your attention.

Just as an aside, sync has worked in the past.

Maybe the failure to sync is caused by a permissions issue on the ipad. A system update might reset certain app permissions to strict defaults.
