Now that iOS has provided a wide selection of sounds with the OS MWM should allow users to make a selection from the iOS library.

Ok, will have to check that new feature out, but yes it's a good idea to customize the sounds for individual apps.

My PC uses a wav file that says MailWasher, it would be nice if MailWasher Mobile had this option. The BBC news app use their own sound file taken from the music at the start on the news on TV, so it must be possible to have a custom sound and not just the defaults from iOS.

The sound choices in iOS are not defaults, there is a very large library to chose from so the specific apps can have their own unique sound without having to provision for user supplied sounds.
