Syncing

Hi, on my iPads I have to sync MWM three for four times till I get new mail. What can I do to fix this?

Because it's hosted, when you pull down to Sync, it goes off to the server to initiate a 'Check Mail', so that can take some time for the mail to come in to the server, then when you pull down again, if it has all the emails, then it will send them to the MWM app.

We're working on a new version which doesn't have this limitation.

Is this still the status of the Mobile app? I've been waiting for 7 minutes for the gmail to appear on my iPad. It says "synced a few seconds ago" but there's no new mail to be seen.

Actually there is no gmail showing since last Thursday. Today is Monday. I keep resyncing every hour and the app looks like it's doing its stuff, but ...

Can you delete the Gmail account and then re-add it, did that help?

Tried deleting the Gmail account and re-adding. Same issue. Wondered if it was two-factor verification, so went to the Google account and turned it off. Tried to reconnect. Same message telling me that it was probably the wrong password (NOT). Found a workaround by forwarding all my Gmail account to a new email account on my own server. All good again.

Thanks for letting us know. We've found that Gmail has stopped some people's accounts being activated by 3rd parties even though they've allowed it, unless they signin with a thing called OAUTH (which MW Mobile doesn't yet have).

I'm using MailWasher Mobile 2.0.0 on my Samsung S8+ running Android Oreo. For years, going back through Samsung cellphone upgrades and Android system upgrades, I have had the same problem repeatedly every few weeks. All of my synced accounts suddenly disappear. I can go into MailWasher Pro and resync them, but this problem typically happens when I am on the road without access to MailWasher Pro, meaning I can't access my accounts and sync them until I get back to my office. This is frustrating.

Is there a more recent version of MW Mobile that addresses this issue?

Hi, we've been working on a replacement. It's not ready yet, but there is a replacement coming definitely.

We've had a few hiccups with the app over this time, can you download this unreleased version as it fixes the sync.
