Unable to contact server

I have been getting this error for the last couple of hours.
When I drag down to synch, I get the attached error.
My desktop version is working fine.
This is only on the smartphone/android

It’s been playing up all day for me. I sometimes managed to get to email by logging out and back in again, but I’m now stuck on the bad gateway too.
