Kaspersky Secure Connection

Sun Jul 28, 2019 6:53 am

Kaspersky Secure Connection is currently installed as well as Kaspersky Total Security 2019 and also Malwarebytes Premium.

Would I need to uninstall the Kaspersky Secure Connection first even though it's disabled and I run only manually when needed, also would there be any conflicts with the above installed applications Kaspersky Total Security and Malwarebytes which both run in real-time.

Are there also any plans to introduce a lifetime licence for Hideaway as I have already Lifetime Licences for Mailwasher Pro.

Finally is there a comprehensive guide as how to fully uninstall all traces and remnants left behind of Hideaway other than through Add Remove Programmes.

Kind Regards

Hi there

Thanks for the questions.

We've just had HideAway whitelisted through Kaspersky, so hopefully there won't be any issues. So I don't expect there to be any conflicts, although earlier some users said Kaspersky seemed to intercept DNS requests so it looked like there were dns leaks when using HideAway. It would be good if you're able to test this when both are running, and go to ipleak.com

At the moment we don't plan to introduce a lifetime license because we have monthly server costs, and the economics of that won't work out in the long term.

If you use the uninstaller, and restart Windows it will remove absolutely everything related to HideAway - but you have to restart - just how Windows works with the driver.

Cheers
