I have Kaspersky internet security
To watch iplayer videos I have to sign in with my account.
My problem is that I cannot watch anything...I get the message that it is only available in the UK. even after logging in.
On test my test computer with different hard drives and operating systems that do not have Kaspersky internet security installed it works 100%
So my problem is Kaspersky somehow is blocking me or it appears as though my real country is revealed to iplayer system via a kaspersky internal process.?
I think firetrust are trying to sort it out at present.
BUT I blame Kaspersky

Re: London UK
I use Kaspersky Internet Security 19.0.0.1088
Do not attempt to use iPlayer before HA has been started!
I use Firefox as my default browser.
Once Firefox is loaded open BBC iPlayer.
One will then be requested to log in when you have selected the content that you wish to watch.

Yes my Kaspersky is identical to yours but has a "g" on the end 19.0.0.1088 g
What method are you using in HA?
Direct to bbc iplayer or 'all computer" to London ? ?
I always wait until HA is connect and shows latency number before even opening firefox and I then go to bbc.co.uk/iplayer and log in.

Re: London UK
I have the same issue on my test box with Kaspersky. Jancux would it be possible for you to export your KIS settings to file and send that to me at [email protected] ?
Details on how to export the settings to file can be found here https://support.kaspersky.com/12502#block1

Re: London UK
Hi,
I would be more than happy to send you my Kaspersky Settings.
However..
Attempting to attach the saved settings file it is not possible because of the files suffix (.cfg) which is according
to you is unrecognized.
Have you any suggestions?
Best Regards
Jancux

Re: London UK
You do also need to signin to iPlayer, you can't get around this. But it's pretty easy, just enter your details and find a UK postcode and enter that. eg E1 7AD

Re: London UK
New test Tuesday 20th
Clean install of Kaspersky free antivirus [not the free cloud option] today
Direct 'watch bbc iplayer worked 100% no problems.
I seem to have updated [it did an suto update] to HA version 4.2.5 just now on the test pc.
So new version today
OVERVIEW
Kaspersky internet security still blocks me
BUT
Kaspersky free anti virus [not the free cloud stuff] works 100% on direct bbc iplyaer.

Re: London UK
Can it be to do with the fact that I am a legal UK register user of BBC iPlayer that I have no Problems?
