UPDATE / I just read "New Rule" after writing this post, but I think the idea of being able to control several iterations of Hideaway through a list would work if it acted before the website was opened.
I keep Hideaway active most of my time online, that is, until I strike an 'issue'. Most websites I visit work just fine with Hideaway connected. Bank sites don't, and neither do most media sites, e.g. Prime, TV channel sites, etc. Some seem to work OK until you've entered all your data and hit 'Search' or whatever. Then they just fall over and fail to proceed until I log off, disconnect Hideaway and retry. In my wife's case, she tries to follow my instructions, but when sites react negatively she forgets how to proceed or just gives up. Not good.
The only solution is to disconnect Hideaway and go without it's protection out in the wild - or - have it active and turn protection on and off according to where you're 'visiting'. I think the log off - disconnect Hideaway - reconnect 'cycle' needs a solution. Maybe make Hideaway keep a list like uBlock Origin does? What do you think? Can you do it?
An issue might be that if I have several windows open in my browser, one site causing Hideaway to go passive might affect all the others that are open unless there are smarts that can handle that.

Re: Websites blocking VPNs
Hi
We've almost finished a new version which will allow some of those websites to bypass HideAway, so you can just enter them into a filter and they'll bypass going via VPN. Plus it will do a lot more. Working on one last bug to fix.
