I cleanly uninstalled the program and reinstalled the newest version (1.40). Still had a problem - could not connect to the internet at all. I disabled the HideAway Light Weight Filter and was able to connect to the internet. When trying to login to HideAway it then crashes as above.

Hi,

I upgraded to Win 10 on the desktop last week and installed Hideaway over the weekend. When I start the machine Hideaway runs automatically (good) but after a short while (not sure how long) it stops. There is no indication that it has crashed (no error messages on screen or anything) but when clicking on the "Show Hidden Icons" arrow to show what is running the Hideaway symbol is there for a split second then disappears.

After this, if I manually restart Hideaway it seems to keep running normally.

I haven't got any fault logs (don't know where they would be) but it is an ANNOYING rather than CRITICAL problem.

Can anyone help?

Thanks, Frank

Upgrading to Windows 10 from a previous version of Windows seems to cause problems with the filter driver, we've seen it with other software too and the solution is to uninstall Hideaway, then restart your computer. Install Hideaway again, and restart your computer.

:bow The above uninstall - reboot - reinstall - reboot worked!

This solution should be a sticky one.

Thanks for your kind help.
