Hi,

I'm set up with a rule for USA - West (and USA - East) to watch shows in the US. ABC.com is giving me a "you appear to be outside the US" message. WhatIsMyIP shows an LA location and PBS recognizes my connection as from the US. Any ideas as to why ABC.com is not viewable?

That's annoying, ABC uses Location-Aware Browsing, which is an in-browser feature that determines location from things other than just your IP. This hopefully can be faked though, so let me know what browser you use and I'll see if I can work my way around.

I tried in Firefox (45.0.1), Chrome ( 49.0.2623.87) and MS Edge (25.10586.0.0) and received the same error message.

Which is your preferred that you'd most likely want to watch ABC with ?

Firefox is my preferred browser. Chrome is second.

I'm a bit stumped on this right now. I thought using addons like GeoLocator or LocationGuard would allow me to fake the location sufficiently, but neither seems to handle it.

I'll come back to this soon and see if anyone else has any ideas.

I seem to be having the same problem with NBC. I have both the USA-East and USA-West rules set and NBC.com is saying I appear to be outside the US.

Sorry for the delay, this one puzzles me as it's seemingly working all OK with NBC.

Uggghhhh - the NBC site does seem to be working now. My apologies that I can't remember what show I was trying to access.

Any progress or thoughts on viewing ABC?

No problems, if you notice any other troubles with NBC just let me know.

ABC has me stumped right now, none of the plugins I've tried that fake the location seem to work. I've posted a question for one of the plugin authors, hopefully they'll reply.
