Hideway crashed!

Good morning Forum,

Hideway crashes this morning 03:45. No problem I thought,
Simply reinstall the program again... That was a mistake thinking!
After uninstalling i had no network/internet. This program will
leave you without Internet or network! Nothing was working.
The only thing I could do, was system Restore.

But even after System Recovery, and reinstall Hideway. Hideway
is not working normal. He does nothing at all. It starts
but hides nothing!!!!

Please, write a program that works.
Hideway 1.4.0

Very odd that this happened at all - there must have been a conflict with another driver. In our FAQ's we have this

If HideAway were to ever crash, there is a slim possibility it will take your take your internet down with it. To fix this, Go to Control Panel, then open 'Network Connections', click 'Change Adaptor Settings', then click on your network icon (WiFi or Local Area Connection) and click the button above - 'Disable this network device' and then click 'Enable this network device', and your internet will be back working.

----
After re-install can you try and re-start your PC and see if that helps? We are working on version 2.0 of HideAway and are using a different driver.

Good morning Support,

I have tried all of the above and nothing has helped.
Now Hideway is doing nothing at all. What do i do in the mean time
between now and the new version? Must i look for an other solution?
Or do you have an another solution

Yes, it's still pretty basic at the moment but we're working on it to add new features and rules as fast as we can.

The very same thing has happened to me, re-installing doesn't help nor resetting all the filters, there is absolutely no coverage by Hideaway's VPN.
Please advise.

Hi Paul,

Use Hideway version 2, it works fine, only it also hides your local addresses.
If you want to use your network? Close Hideway first.

The HideAway 1 server issues have been fixed, so should be back up and running for everyone.

Cheers

Hideway 1.4.0. Is working again! How is that possible?
So you can remotely Hideaway activate or deactivate... I'm losing all my rules, by this wisecrack!

What I was told is that one of the Pipe servers had crashed. I don't know what that means, or what the Pipe server does, but it's clearly important :)
