HideAway dead for about a week, but not universal?

I live in France and up to about a week ago HideAway was fine and I even had no problems with BBC IPlayer. Then a week ago it died. I now have only two servers listed one in South Korea which at 350 ms is unusable and the other is the Netherlands which fluctuates enormously.
I recently mentioned this to a friend in New Zealand and he says his HideAway is working fine ?
Any ideas please?

Hi there
Have a read of this post here regarding HideAway

Is it possible your friend is using HideAway2 ? Though it presently doesn't have many features, it is still functional.

You are quite right, he rechecked and has now downloaded version2. Perhaps you should send out an email, not everybody checks!

You do have a point — but, doubt Firetrust would announce the v2.1.1 in since it's a
beta release.

This is where a Red/Green icon in the notification area of the desktop (like the one in PIA) would be a useful indicator.
