I understand that more VPN companies have started stopping their services being used for torrents where their servers are in certain countries. Is that the same with Hideaway?
In a fashion.
If HideAway determines the traffic to be from a file sharing program like BitTorrent it will instead redirect that traffic through servers we've specified, which may be a different country than you have selected.
This allows us to protect servers that are vulnerable, in case someone downloads copyrighted works that attracts attention.
