Ran a cleanup utility and rebooted the PC.
Successful install.
I can only assume that, even though I'd closed Hideaway 3.11, there was something in the background that was stopping the install.
Noted that while running Hideaway 3.11. (diverted Firefox to Amsterdam) that the link to "About Hideaway Beta" is not found. But it now works with 3.12

Thanks for posting about the install. It does use a driver installation, so sometimes that can require a PC reboot.
