Hideaway freezes internet

Thu Oct 18, 2018 2:32 pm

Nick,

When I redirect Chrome or IE to either Los Angeles or Oregon, I cannot open either Chrome or IE.

Hi Tom

Disable IPv6 on the connection https://medium.com/@JockDaRock/disablin ... ad010bca75

Not all the HA servers currently support IPv6, will double check if that's intended.

Hi Tom

Do you mean that the web browser just won't open, or it opens and you can a connection error or similar?

What antivirus are you using?

Thanks

Nick:

I followed "rusticdog's" instructions and disabled IPv6 and I can open Chrome and IE, however I'm not sure if Hideaway is actually working as I cannot get past the opening page of Hideaway. I thought there was a page where we could set preferences, etc. I've attached a screen shot of the only page in Hideaway that I can open.

Yes, that's the correct page. There's no other settings/preferences page at this point. It's pretty simple and the 'Ping' setting below the button shows it's running correctly.
If you go to a web page like https://ipinfo.io then it should tell you the location.
