Hidaway stopped working after update

After the latest update Hidaway presented me with a user screen
I entered my details and logged on,
it then asked me to select from master or create a device name and enter
I created a device and selected it a pop up box with an error message appeared.
After clearing the pop up I tried to create a rule but the default list was not there and in the customisation the locations weren't there either, clicking save brought up the same error box
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling a fresh downloaded copy and ended up with a different version (4)
this version although I can select the application and location (not selectable for torrents) seems to block all Internet traffic as no web pages are displayed email client show errors and torrent files won't download after about 5-10 minutes Hidaway crashes and torrents download web pages refresh and emails get through.
I re-installed an earlier version and it automatically updated and now I'm back to the first problem and also now have two versions of Hideaway on my PC and neither work!
1, AppData\Local\HideAway\HideAway.exe
2, C:\Program Files (x86)\Firetrust\HideAway\HideAway.exe
Any help or advice as to how I can get it working again would be appreciated
