Hideaway 4.00

Wed Jul 24, 2019 2:35 am

Sorry guys, I had to do something. After getting busted by my ISP earlier in the year, I invested in a subscription to StrongVPN, which turned out to be reliable but slow. Their Kill Switch function saved on me a few times along the way. It activates instantly whenever anything is "not right".

BTW, I'd love to see this function included in HideAway if possible.

I've just run a test on a "safe" file, first using StrongVPN, then using HideAway.

The speed difference is dramatic.

At one point, it climbed to over 11,000 MB/s.

And finally settled at the specified limit of 8,000.

My question: How confident are you now on its ability to work consistently as expected?

Hey there,

Adding a Kill Switch is really easy for us to do, so we'll be adding that in shortly for torrents. Good to see it's working well for you otherwise. We're actually really confident of it working properly now anyway.
