Installed trial V4.2.3. When I redirect Firefox or All Computer, (to Sydney) is sets Firefox default language to some sort of Arabic language. Which brand it is I do not know. When I turn off HideAway it reverts back to English, when I start HideAway again it goes back to the mysterious Arabic script, and so on. Please scratch your head and come up with an answer.
OS is Win 10 64

Re: Firefox default language
This seems to happen time to time, I guess when the previous user of the IP address had it located in UAE.
You should be able to change your region settings via https://www.google.com/preferences

Re: Firefox default language
Who is "the other user", there is no other user and there has never been one.
Used your link for "Google preferences" which is set to Australia. If I set it to "Current Region" (just to see what it does) it will still be Arabic.
Looks like "HideAway" is still a work in progress. Please let me know when it is stable and bug-free.
Cheers

I'll see if I can update the location of the Google record for the Sydney server.
Re: Firefox default language
Sorry, not very clear. I'm referring to the previous owner of the IP address that we now use for the HA Aus server.BHS wrote: ↑Mon Aug 19, 2019 7:23 pmWho is "the other user", there is no other user and there has never been one.

Yes, it's the previous owner of the IP address - Google just hasn't updated their records and so you'll see that if you're not signed in with a google account or use private browsing. Hopefully Google will update this soon.

Just as well I didn't buy — could take a long time for Google to move.

Re: Firefox default language
You could for the time being change your default google web search URL to this https://www.google.com/webhp?hl=en
hl means language overriding parameter and en=english, fr=French or another 2 letter language code.
I've reported it here also so Google can do its thing. The IP address is 108.61.168.213
https://support.google.com/websearch/contact/ip
I guess if enough people report it while HideAway is redirected then they might listen.
