H4.2.3 Dowloading Issue

I use a piece of software called Anylist, (Anylist.com). It allows one to download photographs from elsewhere for items in lists and for recipes. I have found that if HA4 is running the downloads do not work. In my specific case I was simply downloading a photo which is already on my hard drive. The download fails is HA is running and works as soon as HA is stopped. FYI.

How are you downloading the photos? Right click and 'Save as..'? That works, but I can't see a download button in Anylist.

Nick, the following is for the Windows desktop version.

the easiest way to see how to insert a photo is:
Click on Recipes
Click of the three dots by Recipes
Click on Create Recipe
Click on Icon/Photo
Click on Add Photo
Select "Choose one from your computer".

You can also add photos to any item in a list but the sequence is slightly different

Ok, I did this and it worked for me fine. Using firefox. What error are you seeing?

Just updated to 4.2.5 and tried to add photo to recipe. Attached are two screen shots, the first after selecting the photo on my hard drive, the second after about 20 seconds.

Ok, mine is working and there's really no reason it shouldn't work. I use Firefox as well. Which server are you directed to?

I was using London. Since your message I have tried Chicago and Geneva but none works. The moment I stop HA it does work. I am using Firefox 68.0.2 64 bit.

Ok, not sure what to do about that. I have the same FF version, redirected to London and I can either drag/drop or upload.

Could you please try this while adding a picture.

Shut down HideAway (system tray icon, right click and select Quit).

Then in the Explorer download folder, click the top of the address bar and type cmd and click enter.

That will bring up the command line window

type

Code: Select all

hideaway-test.exe 2 1

and click enter
