I've just updated to Hideaway v4.18.1 and there's no longer an option to redirect the Opera browser. Is this an oversight?

No, because Opera has a torrent client built in, people could be using it to download illegal torrents in locations where our servers would be vulnerable to shutdown. But you can still redirect your whole computer and it will work.

Unless it has been removed recently, the Brave browser also has a built-in torrent client but it’s still in the redirect options. There are many torrent add-ons available for the other browsers which do exactly the same thing making them just as likely to be used for illegal downloads. Removing Opera seems all the more odd when you have the option to redirect all torrent clients! A stand-alone client is much more likely to be used for downloads than the basic client built into Opera. This makes no sense.

Can we have Comodo Ice Dragon and Comodo Dragon browsers added please?

The issue is it makes it quite obscure when the torrent client is built in to Opera, rather then being an independent program. It's probably a temporary measure until we can figure out a way to catch those torrent streams in Opera (and other browsers) so we don't fall afoul of our hosting providers - who shut down a lot of our servers a few months ago. So we're just trying to protect ourselves and other users.

You can still redirect all your computer anyway, and it will redirect Opera.

Soon you'll be able to add in your own browser.exe and make rules for it.
