Hi, can you restart your PC and see if that fixes it?

Have you added a new firewall recently? It's saying that it can't reach the server, so something is blocking it

Hi Nick,
Thanks for checking things. I am using Norton and have been for a couple of years now, all I've done is get the usual daily updates. Of course, I don't have their VPN service enabled.

I'd check something there - or allow HideAway.exe through their Firewall. I suspect that's the issue, as we're not seeing this issue from anyone else. Meaning that the update server and license server are working properly.

Close HideAway (right click its icon in your system tray and click Quit) and do this.
Could you go to Windows search button, (right beside the windows button in your task bar) then type 'Run' and click Enter.
Then type(or copy/paste) in the run text area:
%APPDATA%\HideAway
And click Ok,
This will open up file explorer. Delete the HideAway folder.
Restart HideAway and your trial will begin, click, "Enter License Key" and paste in your key and click Activate.
How'd that go?
