In the past few days, BBC iPlayer has started returning an error message ("BBC iPlayer only works in the UK. Sorry, it’s due to rights issues. In the UK? Here's some advice.") when connected to Hideaway. It seems the BBC is now detecting Hideway and blocking it. It works OK when watching live TV but not in the catchup section. The BBC page works as normal with the free Windscribe and Privado VPNs.
ITV and Channel 4 continue to work normally with Hideaway.
Channel 5 has never worked with Hideaway but does work with the free Windscribe.

Can you try using it with a private browsing session/incognito session, and see if that helps?

Private browsing didn’t help I’m afraid. Still get the error message

I got the message a couple of times but it seems to be intermittent and if I just leave iPlayer open for a while and come back and refresh it works fine.

But usually I don't get the message at all! Maybe sometimes it just takes a while to detect Hideaway?

And it did work with Ch 5 for a good while but then stopped and never got fixed ... still hoping for that though

It started as intermittent and usually could be fixed with a restart but now it's all the time. I also tried with a different browers (usually use Firefox for BBC) but it's worse with Chrome -live programs don't work as well

BBC iPlayer is working again now

Not working now, even using a 'hidden' url. I am in France.

Yes, that is a bit odd, as I just tested it and no issues.. you are using the "Watch UK TV (BBC iPlayer, ITV etc)" option within Hideaway? (it wont work if you select London)

If so, or no better, try opening a private window in your web browser, or even try another browser and let me know if that works....?
