Nick, can you confirm whether existing Hideaway users are able to participate in the March 2025 promotion, please? The mail I received seems to indicate it is only for new users, but that's not 100% clear.

Yes, you can use that promo code for the renewal (HARENEW), but it doesn't apply to the lifetime license as we don't discount that.
I just re-read your comment, looking at it...

I don't think you've added the promo code in there, that's just the usual 3 year discount.

I basically have the same question as the TS, which you haven't answered:

Is this 3-year-promo only available for COMPLETELY NEW BUYERS or can I also buy this as an active user (with my currently active license key expiring in 2 months).

I don't want to renew my old 1-year-license if it is allowed to buy the 3-year-promo as a new license key.

The Hideaway VPN Windows Desktop App explicitly allows the activation of different license keys, so this should be no problem, right?

Please help, because I really would like to take this chance...

Thanks Nick, however I have the same question as Marc Gyver. My current license still has 3 months to run so, if I take advantage of the promo, will 36 months be added to that or will I lose them? It seems odd that the current license key is not asked for when ordering.

I see. If you go to HideAway, then to the license screen and click 'Renew' and then use the promo code it will add the time on to your existing license key.

This is clearer:

NOTE: The discount code above is for new purchases. For renewals, go to the license screen in HideAway and click the renew button, and use the promo code HARENEW to get the same discount. It will add on to your existing license duration.

Hi Nick,

I understand that the promo code for the renewal (HARENEW) only gives the option for 1 or 2 years of renewal, but not for 3 years, like the promo for new purchases.

I also understand that a renewal of a current license will add the new months (either 12 or 24) in full to the license. So no "months" will be lost, which answers @Elektra's question, but not mine...

Can you please explain if

"These discounts are for new purchases"

means that users like @Elektra or myself are not allowed to buy the 3-year-promo at all?

Does "new purchase" mean the same as "only for new customers"?

Will the program (Windows App) not accept a newly bought 3-year license number?

My plan is this:
1. Buy a 3-year-promo license today.
2. Wait for 2 more months, until my current license expires.
3. Activate the new 3-year license afterwards

Is this possible and allowed - Yes or No?

My renewal is due in 1 month

If i buy today will new license extend my current license by 3 years from when current expires so i have 3 years 1 month?

This is very important to me as i do not want to lose the remaining 1 month as i have actually paid upfront 2 years ago

Hi, sorry just realised a limitation on our back-end which we'll fix, but in the near future (with new website shortly).

For now, yes it says 2 years in the renewal form but PM me with your license key when you've purchased the 2 year and I'll add another year on manually. It will get added to your existing license if you either:
1) Go to the license screen in HideAway and click 'Renew' and go through the cart. Or,
2) Login at https://secure.firetrust.com/user

And of course we can manually fix them all when this promo is over.
