Changes at the PM section:—

• Restyled all the buttons while maintaining style focus for Active and Inactive Tabs and Menus, as well.
• Recolored the Chevron and the Headers.
• Allotted full horizontal width to the Messages — when opened, the Avatar and other Post Components shall adhere to the same standards set at the Posting Area.
• Made provisions for distinctive colors for Read and Unread messages.
• Eliminated and equalized all the barren & wasted (vertical) white spaces.

Just a suggestion but why not change the White EVERYWHERE (it almost looks like an Enamel finish it's so bright and glaring) to something like a Flat White or an Off-White so it doesn't glare so damn much. It really is hard on the eyes!

Before touching the white body color at the PM section, we need to set the same at a more frequently used playground — the forums. Once the color co-ordinates are established to everyone's satisfaction, we collate with the PM section in one accord.

• Toned down the Lemon-Green color to a more Corporate Green.

Copy the moderate culture shock warning but got over it reasonably quickly after catching my breath.

Looks good to me as the Green Theme is far superior to the Gray one currently used w/ the one caveat of:

Would appreciate it if you could tamp down the remaining White a little bit (i.e.

• The background around/behind the Avatars and User Stats; and
• The Background around/behind the POSTER'S post (the quoted posts are just fine but the newest text is what I'm aiming at here).

Again it's that the White seems to be sort of an Enamel Paint (shiny) finish and is really bright. Would work better and create less eye strain if it had more of a Flat/Off -White finish.

Excellent! Doesn't blind me while I try to write something. And the Contrast is better too.

Just hope you can convince the management to do the same.

With the introduction of the new Green body color displacing the stretches of white background, the game has taken a complete change — the objective is no longer to increase contrast but to reduce it.

Changes:—

• Segregated and isolated the Signature since it was color-coded to the Avatar Background (and, was stealing the focus.)
• Color-coded the Avatar Background to the New Post Background with a completely new Pista Green body color.
• Set a slightly more aggressive color definition between the layers of Quote hierarchy.
• Reduced the rounding of the top corners on the the Avatar Background and Post Area to match the Board trend.
• Recolored the outlines of the Quotes.
• Recolored Contact ArrowHead.
• Recolored the Post Linking Icon.

Well, that all depends on exactly what you mean by "Contrast".

From my POV it means several things:

• Making sure the text and other elements of a post stands out from the background sufficiently so that it's easy to both SEE and READ; and
• NOT blinding the User using whatever colors are used.

Now in the case of the Gray Theme ... It just doesn't/didn't seem to matter what was done to/with it. The Contrast just didn't work! With the Green Theme, it does. Don't ask me what the difference is because I haven't yet figured it out myself.

Changes (the screenshot attached at the end of this post was grabbed from this page):—

• Got rid of ~97% of the glaring white background at all the Forum Topics.
• The only vestige of white left now, is on the Search field — at the top-left.
• Introduced a enhanced hover that can only be experienced by those actually using the new Green Skin.
• Darkened the background of Read Icons and the Read ArrowHeads with a subtle touch.
