Forum Issue
I'll admit to being a bit underwhelmed with Hideaway since version 2 is in no way a sophisticated product but why do we still have forum subjects like #3 on the list "Setting up a Custom Rule" which cannot be done in HA2 and only refers to HA1 which is as dead as a Dodo.

Re: Forum Issue
Yeap good point, forgot to un-sticky the unnecessary threads, done now.
HideAway is along slowly. Still working on installer, but almost finished. UDP is done. Just need the client done which isn't too much work. Am guessing the thought of mid-March is now a stretch though

What then is your realistic assessment as to when a fully functional version will be available
for your paid up subscribers?
From when will our subscriptions have been suspended, and will we be informed when this
new subscription is to recommence?

Re: Forum Issue
Hi
Really hope to get it finished by May, although we've had some delays in getting the installer finished which pushed things back a bit (took 5 weeks instead of 1!), but it's almost done and we'll be able to push updates automatically so you'll always get the newest updates. Sorry, been frustrating for us too but it comes with the complexity of software.
You'll get your full subscription back plus we'll give you another 6 months on top.
Left to do:
UDP and TCP support in the client, along with Ping - quite a lot of this is done already
Adding back the rules and user interface
Encryption
Authentication

Re: Forum Issue
Thanks! Building software is complex and has lots of unknowns - it's like building a new machine. We'll get there eventually

Re: Forum Issue
Ok great, thanks for letting me know. We'll be able to easily push updates now instead of emailing people about a new version
