I have been getting tons of spam from variations of this isp: contact@053tprni domain.com
I have tried various wildcard expressions such as *@*domain.com but with the space noting seems to work. Any ideas?
Thanks.

You cannot use DOS wildcards (the * or ?). That causes the filter to search for an asterisk or question mark.
If they all come from contact@ search for contact@.
If they all come from contact@ search for contact@.

You could try creating a Custom Filter that looks for invalid email addresses, which would match on the example you gave.
Here is the rule I currently use, checking the FROM field DOESN'T CONTAIN, REGEX
[a-z0-9._%+-]+@[a-z0-9.-]+\.[a-z]{2,4}

Wow, within seconds of installing it, the first invalid email was caught. Thanks.
