OK… here is the scenario:
I have 2 email accounts, account1@domain1.com and account2@domain2.com
Both are configured as IMAP in Outlook 2010 and are working fine on desktop1.
I have server1 on the same local LAN executing MailWasher PRO…
...attempting to connect to the same 2 accounts as Outlook using the same configuration data.
I presume My Current IP Address would be the same for both connections (the 2 machines) eliminating rejection by IP
I presume the mailwasher config in the attached png file as it is the same as the Outlook and has no real detail to configure just as benign
The Problem:
account1@domain1.com appears to successfully connect BUT does not list any of the mail that shows in Outlook... no error in the log in MailWasher but no mail list either
account2@somain2.com gives an error “Failed to connect to server”
I tried between the 143 and 993 configurations with no change
The machine appears to be resolving ips and locations appropriately as checked with CMD window pings and traces
Anyone got ANY ideas???

Re: This IMAP is Strange
Thanks.... I solved it by deleting the troubled accounts and re-creating them. It seems that when you are creating an account you should not save before ALL relevant info is available and correct. The setup gui seems not to like indecisiveness.
