Mailwasher doesn't check accounts on startup
Even though it is checked off in the settings, Mailwasher 7.11.0 doesn't check any accounts when it starts up, and doesn't check anything until the time is up for my "periodically check every 15 minutes" setting. Any suggestions as to why it doesn't check on startup? Thanks!

Does it never check when MW starts, or doesn't check when the PC starts and MailWasher boots ?
You can send me your logs, under Help >> Send Support Logs >> enter a brief note like 'no check mail on start' >> in the Ticket Number field enter chris >> Send Logs. If you can reply back here once sent, so I know to be on the lookout for them.
Cheers

Great. It's a connection failure MailWasher is getting on startup, specifically, MailWasher is unable to resolve your server address to the IP address to connect. That would either imply that the machine is slow to start the internet and MailWasher is checking before it's ready, or perhaps you've got an email AntiVirus program that's causing some kind of trouble.
I do also note that Shaw look to recommend using the server pop.shaw.ca instead of the one you are using, so you could try that first. All other settings should stay the same, though your username is probably better being your full email address instead of the part just before @.

I would first try using the pop.shaw.ca with full email address as username, Check to make sure account(s) work, reboot, see if the same happens.

Thanks, Chris!
That suggestion did the trick. It now checks at startup.
Thanks so much; really appreciate the quick response.
