Torrent leakage through HA after installing Win 10 v1809.

Fri Feb 22, 2019 2:14 pm

* Recently upgraded Windows 10 to version 1809.
* Running a large number of torrents, downloading.
* Running HideAway version 3.14.0.
* HideAway went blank, as reported previously.
* The Top Process Monitor gadget was no longer showing HideAway as the highest CPU Process.
* And of course IPAddress.com reported my own IP Address.
* The reported torrents were running at the time.

I'm now at the first level of "repeat infringer".

For the record, this is a reliable method of determining whether HideAway is still running:
* The Top Process Monitor gadget will show HA as the highest CPU Process.

Hi
It seems that when the hideaway screen goes blank it's lost it's connection. I'm on the same WIndows version and it hasn't happened to me.

Can you let me know your antivirus program?

Also, can you send some logs to pr@firetrust.com
If you go to Start>>Run and type %APPDATA%\HideAway\Logs then hit Enter. Then send me the browser.log file.

How much RAM/CPU do you have?

How many torrents are you running? We'll try and replicate here. Here in New Zealand they don't care about torrents because the ISP's have to charge $25 per user request, so the studios don't bother (mostly).

Aha! There's the change I made, in addition to the Windows Upgrade. I recently installed Comodo Anti_Virus.

I was running max active downloads = 8 and max active torrents = 12.

8 GB of RAM. CPU is i5 M560 @ 2,67 GHz.

We'll send you a special build later which will give us more info about the issues you're seeing.

This is the kind of activity I'm looking for. If it changes, I'm in trouble!
