When Hideaway updates it changes something that causes my firewall to block it until I allow it to pass. When it checks the license online HA fails to proceed and offers zero protection until I fix it - not good! I can't just 'allow' HA in the firewall rules, so I always have to intervene - also not good.
Most software I use does not have that behaviour, i.e. they don't change their identity (or whatever it is) when they install updates, so their relationship with the firewall remains stable.
It'd be nice to think that HA's priority is to to default to protecting the connection rather than leaving it open
