There isn't a concrete date, rather 'when it's done'. I think we'll end up releasing it missing a few features just to get it out there, but things are going pretty well.
If I were to guess, I'd say end of October, which probably times in nicely for those updating to Windows 7

Will the re-write be a free download ? i really love mail washer pro . I can hardly wait to see the re-write one .

No, there will be a small upgrade fee as it's a full rewrite. Though I expect there will be some who get for free depending how long ago they bought MW, it would be cruel for someone to buy the existing version only to have the new one sprung on them a week later.
