unable to log in to my email account

mailwasher had to be reinstalled on my machine, and now it doesn't want to connect to my email.
i even changed my password to be certain i was getting it correct, and it still doesn't want to connect in mailwasher.
this is with an outlook/microsoft/live/hotmail account [whichever one it 'really' is...]

mailwashewr actually set it up automatically but got the settings differently... when i go to this website:

is indicates what the settings are supposed to be, but using them, it still doesn't let me in.
does anybody know what the real settings are???
mailwasher always worked with imap on my account, but now it's just refusing to get in

I'm having same problem outlook/hotmail account setting does not work. Have they helped at all?

Those settings in the link are correct, you use SSL instead of TLS. Perhaps there is a temp issue going on with the MS email servers ?

Is it still failing now ?

it seems it was a temporary bug of some kind. suddenly it works now. very strange.
i turned ssl on and off and on again and suddenly it was able to connect.
