The guy that does approvals is presently feeling poorly so it might be a day or two.
jpeckinp, I don't think there is a firm one right now, they are deep in bug-squashing mode at the present and making great progress though.

Within the Beta Forum itself, there is a main ‘new beta version’ post you can subscribe to, which would email you each time a new beta version is posted, which saves having to check back. Note the current beta is 0.93.3 which is on page 6 of the topic that shows all beta releases.
You can run both versions, the beta and regular as they use different data directories/settings etc...
And as Stan says, no definite ETA, just working through some issues that we feel have to be resolved first, once they are done we'll put out the preview/public beta
